About Batundi

Born in Goma and raised around East Africa, Batundi grew up listening to a range of different genres of music with his preacher father. He’s currently based in South Africa, where’s he’s developing an exciting fresh sound of African pop music.

His long list of credits underscores the diverse range of his talents. Most recently he produced Popcaan’s new track ‘We Caa Done’ Ft Drake. In 2021 he co-produced ‘Drake ft. Tems – Fountains’ on ‘Certified Lover Boy’ alongside renowned producer Noah James Shebib aka 40. His production credits include projects for Tresor, Metallica, Joyous Celebration, Kelly Khumalo, Msaki, Dacapo, Anatti, Back Motion, Zakes Bantwini, Gemini Major, Bonj, PhillaDlozi, Mafikizolo, The Soil and many more.
